OmniCare Labs was one of the first prosthetics and orthotics facilities in the Midwest to use computer aided design/manufacture (CAD/CAM) to produce precision fit prostheses and orthoses.
CAD/CAM technology translates to higher levels of fit and function for you. The digitizer in the CAD system takes thousands of measurements which provide a three dimensional model on the screen. Changes and modifications are made to the model by the prosthetist so that the prosthetic device is fine tuned before the custom fitted socket is actually made.
